Art Film Play- Group Work Session

Join us during the day on Weds April 12th between 4 and 8pm. Create work in a fun space, have some spirits, and enjoy free coffee. Writers, animators, painters, sketch artists, music writers, designers. All of you, as are so many others, are an essential part of stories told on the big screen, and CFS celebrates you. Come have a drink with us, create art, and have a free cup of coffee on us. There will be collaboration tables for those who wish to create with others. Rafael Rosado's Career in Storytelling

Check out Rafael Rosado's talk Monday, March 20th at 6:30 at Otto M. Budig Theater at NKU! This is a great chance to see how someone has managed to have a successful career in animation while living in Ohio. It's in the University Center, highlighted here  He is an amazing illustrator and animator. He has storyboarded shows as diverse as Scooby Doo, Transformers, The Batman, Looney Tunes, Curious George and many others. He also illustrates graphic novels!

THE LOW-DOWN ON MO: A CONVERSATION WITH MO WILLEMS AND HILARY PRICE, Friday August 19th

Hey guys- on Friday there is an event in Columbus called  THE LOW-DOWN ON MO: A CONVERSATION WITH MO WILLEMS AND HILARY PRICE.   Mo Willems  is a children's book writer and illustrator, and also has a background in writing, directing, and creating art for animation. If you're able to get to the event it could be really interesting. Reminder- Portfolio Review Jan 30th 4pm-6pm

Image from:  http://www.mydesignshop.com/design-critique-services Just a reminder that the Cincinnati Animation Network's  portfolio review  is this Thursday Jan 30th from 4pm to 6pm.  We will be meeting in room 3A of the main branch of the Cincinnati Public Library. Allison Craig  (a super talented animator at Titmouse) and  Christina Wald  (a super talented illustrator who runs her own illustration business) will be there to give feedback on portfolios and answer any questions or concerns you may have about working in animation/illustration. And I ( Darcy Vorhees ) will be there too, doing the same. The room we're in has wifi, so that's good. I will bring a PC laptop so we can look at stuff online.  If you want to bring printouts or a select group of originals or a laptop or other device to show your work on, feel free.
